Dr. Matthias Fuchs

Dr. Matthias Fuchs is an Assistant Professor in marketing at EHL and a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He researches digital customer behavior, product and service configurators, and customer feedback. He teaches marketing and computational thinking.
Dr. Matthias Fuchs received his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in 2021, where he was the managing director of the Center for Innovation (CFI-HSG) and head of Custom Executive Education Programs at the Institute for Marketing and Customer Insight (IMC-HSG). Before pursuing his Ph.D., he spent more than six years in brand management, marketing management, and strategy consulting at Procter & Gamble, Coty Inc., and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He holds two master’s degrees from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the Norwegian School of Economics and Business (NHH), and the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS). He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).

Magdalena Sabeva

Project Coordinator & Research Assistant at EHL

Magdalena Sabeva is a Project Coordinator and Research Assistant at EHL Hospitality Business School. She graduated with Honors EHL’s Master in Hospitality Management, specializing in Finance, Real Estate, and Consulting. She has a dual degree at Washington State University and César Ritz Colleges Switzerland in Bachelors of Arts in Hospitality Business, with a 4.0/4.0 CGPA, where she was also elected President of the Student Ambassador Body, encouraging her to strengthen her leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Alongside her studies, Magdalena has built over five years of experience in upscale and luxury international hotel environments, including The Cambrian Hotel in Switzerland, part of Design Hotels by Marriott International. In the supervisor roles she was appointed, she gained hands-on experience in operations management, revenue coordination, guest experience, and cross-departmental collaboration in fast-paced settings. Thanks to her strong background in hospitality, Magdalena is able to apply her first-hand experience and knowledge in coordinating various hospitality projects and research-focused areas. 

Driven by curiosity and a strong analytical mindset, Magdalena is particularly interested in the intersection of hospitality, finance, and data-driven decision-making. She holds certifications in Hospitality Analytics (CHIA and CAHTA), further reinforcing her interest in performance analysis and strategic development within the industry.
